I inherited a 1930’s house which I plan to renovate. Should I have a plumber come out to the house and inspect the plumbing?
And what areas of the plumbing should I pay extra attention too?

1- Great idea to have a LMP check out the plumbing

2- Areas to possibly video inspect is the main sewer to street connection if applicable and video inspect the sewer line going in the house (House drain)

3- Place a magnet on the water supply piping and hope it does not stick.

Many of my accounts are houses built in 1922 and earlier and still have the origional brass water supply lines and XHCI soil and vent lines and galvanized venting.

It has to do with the PH factor and how well maintained the home was
