3 in Sander sparks

06/18/2003 09:48 AM lkw441

I have a 3" x 21" belt sander from ***** (315.117131). When I turn on, sparks are coming out from housing. There seems to be an adjustment knob for the front roller but tightening an loosening does not appear to help. Any ideas.

Thanks.

The brushes are probably worn down around the armature. A good tool repair can replace them.

I just purchased a Craftsman belt sander 4x24, 11 amp, and it sparks too. how can you say that brushes are worn. It has to be something else.
