I recently purchased a 1932 Spanish bungalow in Los Angeles. Upon stripping one of the doors I found what appear to be stenciled crests in each of the 3 panels on one side. I was wondering if anyone had any information on this detail. Is it original to the house? How can I get an accurate picture of what was there since stripping the paint has compromised the image?
