3 way switch multiple lights

09/17/2009 12:50 AM stm1313

I am looking for a diagram of a 3way switch setup. The power is coming to the light. i want to go to the switch and then to several lights and then the other 3way switch. And is it possible for me to branch off a line at the far end but not be on the 3way switches.
thanks

"".......diagram of a 3way switch setup ....The power is coming to the light""

""i want to go to the switch and then to several lights and then the other 3way switch. ""

No....not with normal CABLE(the solution is in the above link)

""And is it possible for me to branch off a line at the far end but not be on the 3way switches.""

NO....run another line

"......measure Once.....cut Twice....
throw that one away and cut a new one...."

It's unclear: are these 2 existing 3-way switches for this light?

And in most locations, code would not allow you to run another branch line off of the end of this. You should install a separate branch circuit.
