We are looking to add a 4 season sunroom with a vaulted ceiling to the back of my 20 year old split level. I am going to tear out the 16 x 16 ground level deck. What is the best surface in Pennsylvania to build on. A concrete footer or wolmanized wood set on top of concrete pillars. The wood seam like it would be easier to run wiring and heating through. Who do you check with to find out what the local codes are? |

You'll need to check with your local building department. You need a footing and frost wall placed below noraml frost depth for your area, probably to about four feet. |
