I would keep wiping everthing down, keep changing the A/C filter. Perhaps find a HEPA Filter. I don't know if Asthma can be caused by gyspum, but I am sure it can cause short term illness and bronchial problems.
Vacuuming may perpetuate the problem if your bag can't handle fine powders. You will also have to mop your solid surfaces regularly.
