Ron great question.....al is a retired school teacher who is like a 3rd generation cantonite...he has a bunch of brothers too.....i met al about 5 years ago ...his brothers ran a deli type place and all the older townies would hang out there and al herd i was a woodworker and he would tell me all about the cabinets he builds .....you know .....putting himself in the relm of yours truley ....i was on the tail end of the house i was building at the time so he came by one day.....i was building a dining table ..just like the one in the podcast .....he was blown away....and i havent been able to shake him ever since........al is great guy...i barely knew him and he built the closets in the bathroom..for free...just to give you an idea...the bathroom was 11x23 or something crazy....we built all cherry cabinets follr to ceiling with 6ft doors it was a site....but anyway we have been friends ever since....i brought him into the shop and taught hm how to build a drum table....he says it is the crowing achievement .. but anyway give him a shout ...maybe he can post a picture of it.....

Hey Tommy, forget the Drum Table, I want the plans to Magic AL's matchstick holder he made during the Civil War. If that thing could hold up for so long, you should be doing replicas of it, not the Bombe :-)
