My side by side stopped cooling and freezing. It will only freeze at the very bottom of the freezer. I don't know where to find the model number! Could it just need freon? Or could something else be wrong?

The only way I can see the temperature at the bottom of the freezer being any different than the top would be if no air movement was taking place. Check the operation of the fan motor.
