Amana sofsound DW - noise |

My Amana sofsound DW is making an awful noise at the start of the cycle, just after the water fill stops and right as the cycle starts...loud noise, hard to explain. It only lasts about 30 seconds. The DW doesnt leak and seems to work okay. Not sure what this is or how to fix it.

Inspection needed? |

I can't think of anything in particular on that model that could cause any strange noises on start-up besides maybe a foreign object in the pump or maybe a problem with one of the pump's components. It might need to be at least partially disassembled and inspected for obvious problems.
