We have built a large sale electric Christmas train which travels across 10 neighboring propertie on a 9 foot high track. We have had a difficult time powering the train and its on board lights. The train has a 6voltDC motor taken from a childs "power wheels" type ca/jeep. It also has six 12 volt standard car tail lap/brake lamp bulbs with only he brake side the circuit. I don't know the ohms for either. The Train gets its power throught the track rails (1" cnduit pipe). The rack lenghth is 575 feet. The 10 foot track section joined by 18 gauge jumper wires. At this time th track is powered from both ends uing 3 differen 12 volt power units. The combined power units have atotal rating of 43 amps, yet thisis still not enough power tosupply the train. we are no considering an additional 0 amp power unit and/or changing the jumper wire size. A guideanc or suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. This is the link to the web page which explains the train. http://members.aol.com/strailroad/
