Any tricks to leveling a mobile home?

11/09/2004 11:13 PM markypoo1

My girlfriends mobile home has one end hanging over a 6ft hill.It is sagging at that end to the point that doors close by themselves. Can I throw a level on the floor and jack and prop it up or do I need to worry about dangers or damages?

20 ton jack. jack up next to the supports and block up under the jack with 2 by 2 foot wide blocks.shim every inch or so under mobile supports in case jack sinks in unstable soil,
put level under beam to check for areas to be lifted, as well as inside. and jack up balanced. not all at once on a much lower spot.
