We are installing 4x4 Travertine tiles as our kitchen backsplash. How do I apply the grout without having it get inside the pores of the Travertine? Or should I not worry about it getting in the pores?
Thanks, Dave |

You actually want the grout to get into the tile, it gives it a good look. If not you can seal it first and then when you grout just go over the tiles with a wet sponge and the grout comes out. Don't worry too much about it. The tile is actually stronger with the grout inside the cracks, but as you will see, most of it comes out when you sponge over the tile. |
