Barometric pressure and drains?

01/10/2006 01:18 PM sheepster411

Hello friends,

I live in an old house in a small town in Missouri.

The mobile home next to my house shares the sewer and water lines.

(Please, no Hillbilly jokes!)

From time to time I hear a rushing sound of water underneath my bathroom floor.

It sounds like rapidly draining water.

My plumber checked the crawl space recently, and found no leaks in any pipe.

I noticed that the water sound seems to occur when a major low pressure storm system moves in.

Could low barometric presure somehow be the cause of this sound?

I'm puzzled! Thanks for your help.
