Barrel roof tile hurricane proofing

11/16/2006 09:27 AM scothammer

Is there any way to make barrel roof tile less susceptible to hurricane wind "blow-off"? The roof tiles are screwed down with 2 screws on the top part of each tile. But with big winds, I think the wind could get under the tile, and lift them. Is there a way to further glue the roof tiles together, and make the system one integrated "tile"? Squirt glue under each tile, or use clear glue to glue the end of one roof tile to the top of the one below it? We sure need the protection in Florida. Thanks for the help.
