Baseboard radiator trim or wall color

10/26/2001 04:26 PM mgresnick

I am painting a room light blue for the walls and a darker blue for the trim (door, door trim, baseboard). Should the hot water baseboard radiator be painted the color of the wall or the trim? In one room the radiator covers one entire wall in another there is trim on both sides of the radiator.

Baseboard radiator trim or wall color

Hi mgresnick,
This is a matter of personal preference in my book. You can highlight the baseboard along with the trim (which can look nice) or make them blend into the wall (which can also look nice).I think it all has to do with how much of a ratio of trim color to wall color you want as well as having visual continuity when you look into/at the room.
