I'm adding a basement rec room. I'm thinking about using 2' X 4' recessed fluorescents (troffers) but I'm not sure how many are needed to give adequate lighting for games, etc. The room is 16' X 22' and will have light colored walls and suspended ceiling. There is one 3' X 5' window facing the south but is about half covered by a window well. There will probably be some sort of window treatment also. Would two light fixtures be adequate? I'm also open for other suggestions.
