Mid Atlantic Waterproofing installed a French drain and sump pump in the basement of my home. Water had been into the basement for almost a year. Well it’s been five months and after some heavy rains I can say no water has entered my basement.
I am very pleased with the work and the service I received from Mid Atlantic Waterproofing. The workmen were very professional and courteous. They arrived on time, came in, did their job. The work was done in the four hours as stated by Mr. Mc Dowell. I found Mr. Mc Dowell to be an excellent representative for you company he is well informed, explained everything clearly and he really know his product. I was very impressed.
I am pleased with the work and your employees. Thanks for a job well done, mid atlantic waterproofing.

Hey,
when some of you people run estimates and do NOT locate/diagnose the actual leak(s),crack(s),condition of wall and assume everyone on the planet needs an inside drain tile or baseboard system and then push that on homeowners, it is MISREPRESENTING the problem/cause/actual-remedy.
Some of this misrepresentation is fraud.
Some of it is incompetence,negligence....period!
In order to give proper guidance/correct repair for a leaky basement, one has to SEE-INSPECT the wall or, the part of the wall(wall-floor joint) where the leaking occurs.
To tell/recommend/sell an interior system and NOT VIEW the wall/part of wall in problem area is INCOMPETENCE. Many homeowners only have 1 area of a wall,wall-floor joint where they get water.
And quite a few of these ONLY have a leaky rod hole or one-crack or possibly water that runs from the top of the bsmt wall down...behind drywall/paneling....and most of those are from exterior openings at-along-just under or above ground level...they do NOT need ANY Inside System....nada.
BUT....ya have to SEE the wall in order to confirm and MANY Inside System salespeople-owners do NOT bother to look behind drywall etc.(don`t care, don`t know). This IS incompetence and/or fraud. Is most certainly is!
Merriam-Webster dict of law...
fraud= any act, expression, omission or concealment calculated to deceive another.... a misrepresentation or concealment with reference to some fact material to a transaction that is made with knowledge of it`s falsity or in reckless disregard of it`s truth...
If the seller of a house covers up/hides/conceals the condition of their house, misrepresents house condition and subsequently can be charged w/fraud....then, sure seems to me(and others) that ANY owner/salesperson of a water-diverting company/inside systems who misrepresents the CAUSE-condition of a leaky basement and subsequently sells homeowners a system that does NOT solve the actual problem then, my 2 cents says THIS is also fraud. |
