Fantech makes a good solution, but it may be more than you want or need: http://www.fantech-us.com/vlc.htm I ordered the parts online from here: http://www.hvacquick.com/company.asp With the Fantech units the fan is mounted away from the vent opening and connected with flexible duct so there is almost no fan noise. The vent/light combo uses a low voltage light so you don't have to worry about the code issues of running a 120V light above your shower. I just installed a Fantech unit in my home and it works great. I hate loud bathroom vent fans. It may not be the right solution for you though if you cannot easily get to the space above your shower to run the appropriate duct and install the fan. They also make bathroom vent fans that install on the outside of the house to reduce noise and avoid the installation hassles. Or, search on the web for bathroom vent fans. Good luck! |
