Bed Riser with drawers

01/22/2006 10:42 PM hourglass

According to my husband this is a stupid question, I am sorry it it is! Is it possible to make a large platform with drawers in it sturdy enough to put a bed on top of? :-)

I dont see what would be hard about that. Even if you were going to put a waterbed on it it would be possible. back in the waterbed days, the "underdressers" were not very "beefy", (nothing more than waferboard on edge and pine or oak on the ends for the decorative aspect)...they held a bed just fine that is alot heavier than your standard bed which I am assuming you are talking about. If your hubby wont build it...find a new one :)

Done all the time.

Orginally used on sailing ships.
