Recommended by Bob Vila, Rush Limbaugh, and Glenn Beck gave me confidence that Bellawood and Lumber Liquidators was a reputable, reliable, quality business. What a mistake. It took over $9000 in Brazilian Walnut and several thousands in installation for me to learn that Lumber Liquidators and there Bellawood product stinks. My issue is with shrinkage. After they were installed, following several weeks of acclaimation, they looked beautiful. After several months, they began to shrink. We now have gaps up to 1/8 inch between slats. We are very disappointed. After several attempts to get a response from Lumber Liquidators, they sent someone out to investigate. Seveal months later, they said the problem was caused by us wiping the floor with a lightly damped mop. That is ludicrous. The wood moisture content was excessive and over several months dried and shrank. I will look into other methods to seek reimbursment. I would appreciate any guidance. Again, do not buy from Lumber Liquidators! |
