Best Way to Paint Stucco

04/10/2008 02:24 PM BigBugger

Okay, so I've been reading and hearing that you shouldn't paint stucco. What a crock. I live in Phoenix where every house is stucco, and they are always being painted.

Anyway, what is the best paint to use, as well as what is the best way to apply it?

I have both rollers as well as a gravity feed sprayer that connects to my air compressor. Which will do a better job? I am thinking the stucco paint will be too thick for the sprayer though.

I am not trying to change the color either. In fact, I found a color of Behr outdoor latex that matches to what my house has faded to, which sounds perfect.

Thank you
