Dig out 8" of soil and fill in with 5" of crush and run gravel. Use plate viberator on it andmake it slightly sloped. Pin in the plastic edgeing with foot long nails. lay sand then the brick on the same slight slope. Run the viberator once again. Thats a quick overview but you will need a book for the details. It's a LOT of work but you can do it yourself for about $5 a square foot and it would be in the neighborhood of $20 a square done professionaly.
