How much room do I need to allow on the raised panel for expansion and contraction on a raised panel door?

If it's a hardwood panel typically a 1/8 no glue, Ply a 1/16, and MDF can be cut flush and you can use glue.
If you are getting into pantry doors give the expansion a bit more due to the height of the panels.
