I really pulled a great one!..i was heating a towel to use as a heating pad..accidently set timerfor 33 minutes..the towel didnt totally catch on fire, but came close. Now, theres an HORRIBLE odor in and around the microwave.i washed the microwave out very well, sprayed "Oust"..all around the house..But the smell still lingers..HELP!

Burnt Odor...

I hate to say this, but probably best to replace the microwave. Burned smells can be absolutely horrible - very tough to eliminate. There are specialists you can call in to get rid of all kinds of odors - but if you're lucky enough to have the odor confined to the microwave, it's probably cheaper just to replace it.

If the smell is elsewhere in the house, it might be necessary to call in the specialists....good luck...this can be a tough one.
