I have been reading the posts on Trex and the problems including mold and mildew and sagging. We built our deck about 4 years ago with Choice Dek (sold by Lowe's) and have experienced the same problem. The decking has black mold and mildew spots and is beginning to sag in the middle. We've tried lots of solutions and it temporarily cleans it up, but within a week, it's back. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this problem.

We spent 13,000 on a deck less than a year ago and it is a mildew mess. Nothing cleans it up. I can't believe people are still buying this product. Not sure where to turn for satisfaction. I see a lot of posts for other products with similar problems. Not sure if its just a bad batch or what. Mine was dated DEC 05 |

I'M sure it wasn't a bad batch - it appears all the composite decking materials have the same problem. Ours has mildewed and warped and is less than 4 years old and looks a mess.

Nice to know something is being done. Wonder how you get in on the class action settlement? Thanks for the update.
