Hi there! This is my first post and I am a newbie DIY'er. I have an outdoor patio that had ugly ceramic tile on it over a concrete base. I popped up all the tile and have been able to remove most of the thinset that was underneath with a concrete grinder. However, there are areas that the grinder could not reach or totally remove the thinset, especially in a few uneven areas and around the edge of the patio. I have been trying to chisel the remaining thinset up by hand, but it is very slow and also leaving uneven areas. My plan is to paint the floor when I am done and I am wondering if I could just patch over the remaining thinset with concrete, as that might be easier going.
Sorry in advance if this is a silly question. Thanks so much! |
