Can one use an old dryer 220 line to feed new GEO compressor

09/13/2006 06:17 PM BLEMRK1

Can an unused 220V 10 AWG wire (Dryer wire) handle supply for a Geothermal compressor (only) requiring a max of 35 Amp at 220V?

Run is approx 30 to 40 feet. Fan and backup heat are on different runs.
