Hi mingachos, If you don't get any help here, maybe you can research out the house. Find out, from the County Office, when the house was built. Depending on when the house was built, there may be neighbors that still live there (or that simply know) who built them. If the builder is around, see if they can tell you what's up. You can ask other Builders too. As an aside, my neighborhood is 30 years old. Only 1 lady is an original owner. I happened to ask why just 1 out of 17 homes in the development had a Hip Roof. She said the home was the 'Model House' at the time the homes were built, and that the Hip Roof was an option. She even had the original Brochures!
