Anyplace to check out price range for installation and pads? I have a good idea on the carpet price, but live in a small town and just want to make sure any bids I get are within the "normal" range...Thanks!

Donna, can't believe you didn't get a reply by now...
Most stores around here will quote prices for installation (inc padding). I just drive around and get quotes. Sometimes the cheapest carpet price is not the best deal when you include their installation.
I also found a good carpet guy through the local paper. Best bet is just do the leg work, this is one of those tasks (like changing oil in the car) that isn't worth doing yourself.
