Recently we acquired a power wheelchair that is quite heavy. It causes our Berber carpet to shift and I'm afraid it will stretch out of shape. We are considering replacing with a commercial carpet. Should we use a thin pad beneath? Would you reccommend any other type of carpet that would take the wear of a power chair? Otherwise we may have to install tile or laminate wood flooring.
