Leave it to a realtor to come up with a solution like Clorox. It sounds like the shingles have been painted with a solid color, opaque stain. The pigment might be removed with pressure washing and some chemical stripping, but its going to take some trial and error to find out. Cedar shingles are relatively soft, so pressure washing can be destructive if not done carefully. Of course the easy solution is to recoat with a solid stain color you like. |
