Ceiling Fan In Older Home

12/17/2007 03:01 AM Jenayms

Wire box has three switches. One going to track lighting that I took out. And a dimmer switch going to the ceiling fan for the light. And a regular switch going to it for the fan. The ceiling fan has a Green, a white and a black wire comeing out of it. I'm assuming the main wire source to the wire box is not grounded hince there isnt a green wire. I was takeing out the track lighting and updating the switches and got the wires mixed up...
The part I am lost at is, there is not a blue wire coming from the fan for the light. Do I connect the white wire coming from the fan to the switch that controls the light, and then down to the main wire source? And what do I do with the green wire? It was connected before I took this all apart... Help I'm lost..
