I bought a ladder for my kids' rooms from Ikea and it's supposed to mount to the ceiling with the brackets. I can't seem to find any trusses/studs (?)in them. Are there any?

I'm not sure what in the ceiling, but I did find something solid in mine when I hung I new fan in my bedroom. My guess is that it's similar to a normal site built house.
