I have an old house, with a newer sump pit, but no weeping tile, and my basement is wet. I'm going to be doing weeping tile around the basement perimeter, and I have two questions:
1) If I'm going to be applying the damp-proofing and dimple barrier, should I be putting a 'waterproof' membrane under the dimples? Or is this a waste?
2) To connect the weepers to the sump, I have to bring it through the wall, and bust up the floor. Should the weepers go under the basement footings, or through them? I know that undermining them is a really bad idea, but it would be a small area.
