wow..that is cool....what is behind the black dowel i like the look kinda greene and greene....sorry about the picture posting.i did the same thing.....

Walnut Dowel

Thanks! Nothing behind the dowel. It is a doweld breadboard top. The mortise & tenon joints on the chest are thru doweled. I used walnut for the dowels to contrast with the steamed cherry.
