Tommy,
Well Ken and I started our mortise today, The chisel work is only clean up of the last 1/32", use a mortiser to do the heavy work. Will cut the tenon later tonight.

So going into this build, thought we'd see more hand tools, all this time I thought I was missing out, but now with your picture I see a hand-tool with a handle I recognize no less and a very good discussion on handplanes, ole Crazy Leg Fed is coming through.

Hey Chuck......I looked for your earlier post on the legs grain direction got frustrated looking so posted here for you.
Woodworking Situation: stack laminating.
8 in wide board and in concert with your previous question on Crazy Leg stock selection - I'll look for that grain direction and use it when applicable. With the stack laminating, I'll rip and use this side of the 9" wide board rather than the other. For stability in this specific gluing application.
That question and post you made is a very important but subtle.... in it's application. An indication of a studied woodworker!!!!! COOL!
