Cleaning a Kenmore Dryer

11/14/2004 02:12 PM coachlarry45

I have a Kenmore 90 Plus series clothes dryer. I need to vacuum out the dust residue that collects underneath the dryer, but I can't get the bottom kickplate off the dryer. The last time, my wife had to call a repairman and he charged $50 for about a 2 minute job. It has been a while, so she forgot what he did, except to say that it was somehting really simple. Please help with the magic cormula for removing the kickplate. Thanks.

Magic formula

** Please help with the magic formula for removing the kickplate. **

Sure... if you provide the *model number* of the dryer ("Kenmore 90 Plus series" isn't it) so we can see how it was designed. They're not 'all the same'.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my site linked below.

** Kenmore 90 gas dryer. Any advice on how to get the kick plate off the front? **

Marketing names written in plain view on the front of an appliance (eg. "Kenmore 90 Plus", "90 Series", "Deluxe", "Heavy Duty") are not usually sufficient to identify a particular product. The key to the appliance you have is its *model number* as written on the appliance's model and serial number tag.

If you post the model number as found on that tag, someone should be able to tell you how to access that area.

You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

Cleaning a Kenmore Model 90

04/26/2005 05:21 PM mjmaasen

My model number is 11076912693.

I would appreciate any advice on how to remove the front "kick" plate, so I can better clean the lint the trap is not catching.

Thanks

kenmore dryer kick plate

03/10/2006 08:30 PM rseiter

How do you remove the kick plate on a Kenmore dryer model 110.96589210? The picture at http://groups.msn.com/Appliantology/dryers.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=703 looks like my dryer, but I just can't figure out how to pop it open.

Thank you!
