Cleaning a Kenmore Dryer Lint Area

01/27/2008 10:11 PM Misterk

I wanted to know how to remove the front kick panel to access the cleaning area. Our warranty has run out and my wife just told me she saw the service man remove the front kick panel for cleaning. She said I should be able to do it, but in another post, Dan O. mentioned each dryer front is made differently. Please advise.

** I want to know how to remove the front kick panel [of a Kenmore dryer model 110.64982301] to access the cleaning area. **

On that model the top of the front access panel (where spring clips hold it) looks to pull away from the main cabinet body. Once released at the top, the access panel should then be able to be lifted off the lower holding clips.

Sometimes a putty knife can be inserted between the access panel and the cabinet toward the top of the access panel to leverage it if a good enough grip can not be achieved with just bare fingers.
