Condensation in ceiling light electrical boxes

10/15/2005 10:08 PM billc13182

I have a one story brick bungalow with a small attic space that has some loose insulation between the joists. I am experiencing a problem with condensation in ceiling light electrical boxes that are exposed in the attic space (other than the loose insulation). Is there a way to seal the electrical boxes from the attic and/or the 1st floor ceiling? Should the conduit in the attic be sealed or insulated in any manner? And is it advisable to seal the conduit where the wires come into the electrical box to prevent any airflow inside of the conduit? NOTE: I do not have any leaks in the roof.
