Help! Dust everywhere, on ceiling fans just out of reach of my ladders, on pictures; everywhere!!

One day I'll get rid of our carpeting. Perhaps another day I'll even put in electrostatic filters. I have 4 air filters inside the house which I change monthly; I have 2 more in the attic which I change every 6 months.

Is there anything else besides running my swifters over every inch of the house every day? Thanks for any advice.
