I am building a yurt (www.yurt.com, check it out, a very attractive alternative form of low cost housing) a very low cost circular structure. I am building a deck that it will sit on. For the decking, I want to use plywood, since this will be cheaper. Inside the yurt, I will use hardwood simulated linolium, since this is very east to clean and looks nice. However, how can I totally protect the plywood so that it stays in great condition and doesn't start to rot due to moisture? What can I do to preserve the plywood outside the yurt in a way that will require the least maintenance, i.e I don't want to have to restain it every year. Thanks for your help, Jason |
