My dryer will run, but the dial does not turn to shut it off, it will run for days. Also, there is no heat coming out of it. Any suggestions on what could be wrong? |

** My dryer **
I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its brand name and exact model number.
You can find tips for locating the model and serial number identification tag on your appliances at the following link:
- Model Number Tag Search

** the dial does not turn **
On what setting(s)? A 'timed 'cycle or an 'auto' or 'permanent press' setting??
** there is no heat coming out of it. **
If you were using an 'auto' or permanent press setting, just no heat WOULD usually prevent the timer from advancing.
If whatever make and model of dryer you have is an electric dryer, you can read about possibilities for a 'no heat' condition at the following link:
- Can anybody tell me the most likely scenarios for lack of heat in an electric dryer?
