Dryer *vent* more important

05/11/2008 10:20 PM DanO Moderator

** How to best clean the lint from a kenmore dryer **

More important than cleaning inside the dryer is usually cleaning the venting *all the way from the dryer to the outdoors*. If there is a lot of lint found inside the dryer, check the venting (see the following link) as it is likely the reason why!

- How long can my dryer vent be?

There is no set procedure for cleaning the *inside* of the dryer. Possibly a vacuum and/or compressed air and a small brush could be used.

** don't know how to remove the front panel. **

Most of the parts that would need cleaning should be behind the lower access panel only. Look for 2 screws by its bottom edge.

Why is it you're attempting this? or is it just part of Spring preventive maintenance?
