Ellipse layout, one more method

Hey fellas. Here's another method to layout the ellipse/oval. Sorry it might look complicated. I've tried to give a narrative, but I'm no writer! Drop me a line if it makes no sense. I learned this from a Rob Millard video on an Federal table video.

I'm sure that most of you are probably past this point already, but anyway...
I usually lay out elipses like Dave descibed here, and the other night when I started the fan, I went out to my truck toolbox to grab some string. While I was digging around in there, I came across an oak handrail rosette left over from a couple jobs ago... perfect size ellipse. Anyway, I know some of you other guys out there run trim, so for what it's worth...maybe it'll save somebody a couple minutes one day...
