FEDERAL TABLE PROCEDURE 1

03/30/2008 07:50 PM EliCleveland

http://www.bobvila.com/MyProjects/The_Rough_Cut_Show_Federal_Table-P1972.html
There's the procedure for the legs and joinery. I started to post it here but it looked really messy, but I think the MyProjects will work great for this. I hope it all makes sense. Feel free to ask any questions, that's what we're here for. The podcasts will be starting soon, too. I'd recommend reading over the procedure and watching the podcast before you get started.

Also, bear with us for this first part. I know some of the joinery and things may be basic for some people, but trust in T-Mac. I've been down at the shop for the last couple of weeks, and the table just gets cooler with each step.

Milling

03/30/2008 07:52 PM EliCleveland

For this part, you'll need your legs, rails, and dividers finish milled. Don't forget that two of the legs should be 27" long, not the 25 3/4" on the stock list.

Eli,

Yes, we have all probablity have cut mortises and tenons and other types of joinery. However, there is always another way to either layout or cut a joint. I think everyone will appreciate and learn from your effort in explaining your methods and techniques

The procedures you and T Chizz have posted are very detailed and well done. Thanks for all the work you both are doing.

Thanks for all the support guys. It's been really cool seeing everyone's projects come together and I can't wait to see them finished. The procedures for the drawer front and the fan are up.

Rondo almost back to business

05/31/2008 12:58 PM romessina

Hey T-Chisel,

I was 3 weeks on vacations, so not
a lot of either chop-chop or read-read ^^

In September I'm starting on a new job (finally found another one) but I'll try to at least have the legs of my crazy table in the moving boxes. (it's also a good way to remove the planks from the moving list lol)

for Eli: feel the force!
