Veneer package - Berkshire Veneer |

Hey Justin....sounds and looks like the Big Guy is saying screw the dremel. Of course this is after a combination of your excellent info and Chuck's, I picked up the 300 series.....I'll find use for it on other work, just needed a reason to get one now.
ANYWAY....Guys: ........T-Mac has Berkshire Veneer ready....Just ordered (Friday 3/21) the "MacDonald Happy Package" from Berkshire (toll free: 877-836-3379) asked for Ben and had a simple purchase, Satin Wood, 1/16 Holly, 1/32 Holly, some Black Dyed, and some backer. Depends on shipping cost, but Ben is ready, mentioned $35 to $50 range and they were going to put a few packages together for the forum. I just mentioned the Tommy MacDonald Project.
It was very easy. |

found mine at cpo. This is going to be a nice add-on for my dremel. Maybe I'll actually start using it now :-) |

Just got off the phone with Ben, Veneers are ordered, I replaced my Satin wood with Lace wood. They seem like a great company to deal with. Easy talk to and helpful.

Dremel Tool |

Tommy,
I understand that we will not be using a Dremel Tool now. However, I do have a question regarding the Dremel Tool. The Dremel 300 is a veriable speed tool, I believe the 200 is a two speed unit (15K and 35K speed). The question is most of the tooling for the Dremel has very small diameter tooling, why do you need the 300 with five different speeds? Wouldn't two speed be more the enough? The cost difference is twenty dollars between the two units, not a lot. Just trying to understand the logic before purchasing a unit for later use, if needed.

dremel base question for T |

Since I did purchase the router base for the dremel, what aspects of the "federal frankenstein" crazy leg project would/could I use with it? Is it just for the straight cuts or do you use it to clear out voids to inlays like for the fan on the top of the table as well? |
