wow that hurt to see.....16 grand for a breakfront....that must be a joke.....think about the time its taking to string 1 leg and 1 drawer front....the wood and finish would cost more than that.....sorry ..not a fan....

yeah thats nuts 16,500 but if you look at the other pieces they are much higher sideboard was over 40k and a clock over 19k so...the guy must be sniffing too much saw dust.

Website about John and Thomas Seymour

Hi Everyone

I went and picked up some 190 bf of 8/4 quarter sawn cherry today. I saw this post and thought I would look around about the Seymour. Found this website which gives the history of them and Phil Lowe hase a few videos on the site showing some techniques...check it out

Stringing and Bellflower Technique

The best Federal furniture source/expert is Tom Schwenke - see www.schwenke.com. You will find great info there as well as spectacular furniture.
