FinAll Aluminum shingle roof

ceemae, do you KNOW the product or are you speculating? I install various metal roofing including aluminum shingles, and Interlock (Finall) is one of my competitors. If the roof was properly installed in the first place, it will last a very long time. I've fixed a number that were poorly installed, and the problems with that system are almost always workmanship-related.

Verybaddkitty, go into the attic and check for leakage around the chimney, valleys, and roof openings. If you don't see signs of leakage, mold, or other signs of trouble, the likelihood is that you'll be fine. These kind of roofs, if they fail, usually fail within the first few years. This roof has been on for 22 years, and the only thing that may be wearing out is the caulking (which is why I suggested you look for leaks).
