Finding a good relator

05/04/2007 04:44 PM beegood19

Hi everyone. I eventually want to buy a house and was wondering where's the best place to look for a relator ? Should i get a referal from a friend ? or should i go out hunting for a fresh relator. I've heard getting a good relator is half the job. Whats the best way to go about it ?

Finding a Relator

First you need to spell it correctly. It is spelled r-e-a-l-t-o-r.
Second, it is best to find a referral. Make sure that your referral said that the agent was always available for questions and concerns, gave frequent updates, negotiated hard on your behalf and had your best interest in mind. There are many un-employable people that said, "hey, I could be a Realtor!" If all you have to do is pass a test, which by the way is practically answered for you at most schools, then any idiot can be a Realtor. And, trust me there are a lot of "idiot" realtor's out there. It amazes me how pompous some Realtors get even though they have never gone to college, operated a successful business etc. Yet, some act as though they are the "cat's meow." There you have it. BE CAREFUL.

Finding a Good Realtor

As a Reasl Estate Agent myself, I would suggest that you look for a refferal from a friend, family member or a co-worker. Secondly, make sure whoever you decide to use is familiar with the area you are looking to buy in so that if there is any questions about that area they are able to answer them for you. Hope this helps.
