Fireplace wall, stone or wood

06/23/2005 10:09 AM judySC

I am putting a fireplace on a wall that is 20 feet tall. It is a round house (Deltec) and the area for the fireplace is 8 feet wide and 20 feet tall.
I am looking for design suggestions. I assume an 8 x 20 wall of rock or stacked stone would be both too expensive and too massive. The house is in the woods so I thought maybe some combination of stone and wood. Any suggestions as to websites, etc I can go to for suggestions and pictures?
Thanks

You can use man-made cultured stone which is lightweight enough and nopt terribly expensive.

Excellence is its own reward!
